About me
I am a native of Saraland, Alabama, and an aviation alumnus of Auburn University. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Economic Development, building upon my undergraduate background in aviation management and business.
My academic and professional experiences have developed my interest in the intersection of transportation, government, and economic development. Through coursework and practical experiences, I have explored topics ranging from airport administration and public finance to policy analysis and economic development.
I am particularly drawn to work that combines analytical thinking with practical problem-solving. My background has shaped an interdisciplinary perspective that considers not only how public organizations operate, but also how their decisions affect the people, businesses, and communities they serve.
Career Goals
I hope to build a career that provides experience across airport operations, finance, planning, infrastructure development, and community relations before advancing into executive airport leadership.
I am particularly interested in leading airports that serve as gateways for their communities and catalysts for regional development. My professional interests include expanding air service, developing airport property, securing state and federal investment, supporting business recruitment, and building partnerships with government and private-sector stakeholders.
Ultimately, I seek to lead an airport that is operationally successful, financially sustainable, and positioned to contribute to the growth of the region it serves.
Public Service Philosophy
I believe public service carries a responsibility to use public authority and resources in ways that earn the trust of the communities government serves. Effective public administration requires accountability, fairness, transparency, and a willingness to consider how decisions affect different members of the public.
My approach to public service emphasizes responsible stewardship, thoughtful decision-making, and measurable results. I believe public administrators should be willing to evaluate existing practices, adapt when circumstances change, and seek improvements when established processes no longer serve the public effectively.
Above all, I view public administration as service. Public institutions are entrusted with responsibilities and resources that directly affect people's lives, and I believe public servants have an obligation to manage that trust with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the public interest.
