Competency One

In POLI 7350, I developed and delivered a presentation on theories of bureaucratic politics and governance. This assignment challenged me to take complex concepts, including bureaucratic influence, accountability, and collaborative governance, and communicate them clearly to an audience. Through this experience, I strengthened my ability to organize information and translate academic concepts into an understandable and professional presentation. I also gained a better understanding of how presentation style and organization can influence an audience’s understanding of complicated material. As I continue my career in public service, I will use these communication skills when presenting information to colleagues, decision-makers, and members of the public.
